Taylor Swift Collaborates with Kanye, Apologizes to Beyonce
In a shocking turn of events, Taylor Swift has reconciled with Kanye West and apologized to Beyonce. At a Los Angeles press conference, the young country singer admitted that West was in the right when he stormed the stage to protest her Best Female Video win over Beyonce at MTV's 2009 Video Music Awards. "Of course Kanye was right. Kanye is always right. I knew it in my heart, and I should not have accepted the award for Best Female Video. I let my ego get in the way," Swift tearfully confessed. The three-way feud began last fall when Swift took the stage to accept the award at the VMAs. Gloating smugly, she taunted a weeping Beyonce with her statuette. West responded, gallantly taking the stage to defend Beyonce's honor. Since then, the two artists have engaged in a war of words fought via eloquent 140-character publicity statements. In January, for instance, Swift remarked, "Kanye sux. I hate his stupid guts." West responded, "WHY IS TAYLOR SO MEAN AND CRAZY? I JUST WANT US TO BE BFFS!" Though country fans championed Swift in the immediate aftermath of the event, the general public eventually sided with West, sending Swift’s career into a downward spiral. Responding to overwhelming public sentiment, Swift suddenly reversed course today, praising West's brave and totally unerratic behavior and even suggesting she plied the Moon Man with promises of appearing in one of her videos as a hot country nerd-turned-football star in order to win. "I APPLAUD TAYLOR SWIFT FOR ADMITITNG MY INFALLIBILITY, AND I APPLAUD HER COURAGE IN ACKNOWLEDGING MY GREATNESS," West responded via a statement released on his blog. The two artists will solidify their newfound BFF-ship with a new mash-up, "Fifteen-Year-Old Gold Digger." Beyonce is rumored to be vying heavily for a cameo.
