NewsUnemployment Task Force To Begin Citywide Tour

Unemployment Task Force To Begin Citywide Tour: In an effort to get out of work New Yorkers back on the job, elected officials gathered Sunday on the steps of City Hall to announce the formation of the Tri-Level Joint Legislative Task Force on Jobs. The group -- made up of lawmakers from national, state and local government levels -- is modeled on the task force formed after the police involved shooting death of Sean Bell. As part of the initiative, all five borough presidents are scheduled to host public hearings in an effort to increase opportunity, create jobs and make the local economy more efficient. "Everywhere I travel throughout the state and the city the number one thing people ask me about is jobs. 'How do I get a job? Where can I get a job? How can we create an opportunity, even if I get trained?' said Senate Pro Tem Malcolm Smith. "To the 19.5 million people in the state, to those in the City of New York, today we are going to take action." The task force is also expected to meet with leaders from the business and labor communities.

That is so useful! Finally somebody pays attention to that matter. A lot of Americans including New Yorkers are suffering unemployment and we can´t let the number keep growing. We always say that somebody has to take action and now it´s happening. Job must be available to everybody and if government Can’t stay on task we have to do something to draw their attention to this problem and create jobs or raise awareness about this issue so that economy can be balanced.
I believe this is a very good idea.
Nice blog, keep it up!
