Police: Parking Spat Led To EMTs Shooting Death

Investigators: Parking Spat Led To EMT's Shooting Death: Police say an EMT who was shot over the weekend was killed over a parking spot. Investigators say Jason Green, 32, was shot in the face early Sunday morning at the corner of Vandam and Hudson Streets in SoHo. He was pronounced dead at New York Downtown Hospital. Police say Green had just left the Greenhouse club, though the establishment says he was not one of its patrons. Police say Green then got into an argument with someone over the spot and was shot to death. No arrests have been made. Green made headlines last year when he and another EMT were suspended for allegedly refusing to help a pregnant woman. Eutisha Rennix collapsed at a Brooklyn Au Bon Pain. Witnesses said Green and Melissa Jackson, who were off-duty at the time, told onlookers to call 911. Rennix and her baby later died at the hospital.
