Brooklyn Shooting Injures Toddler, Two Men

A five-year-old girl and two adults were hospitalized Sunday after being shot in Brooklyn. It happened around 2:30 p.m. outside 275 Halsey Street. Police at the scene tell NY1 the five-year-old was hit in the leg. The other two men -- one who is believed to be 24-years-old, the other unknown -- suffered gunshot wounds; one in the arm, the other in the shoulder. All were transported to Kings County Hospital in stable condition. Neighbors say news of the shooting came as a surprise. "It's the first I heard of it. I don't think it's something that happens regularly over here. That's insane, I don't know what to say. It's insane," said one neighborhood resident. Investigators tell NY1 they are looking for a suspect who fled the scene in a gray car. No arrests have been made.
