Star Athlete's Shocking Blunder

Biggest Athlete Blunders Ever: 1. Roger Federer whiffed on a match-point shot on Sunday, proving once again that even the best athletes (and marching bands) can look just like any ordinary Joe.
2. Jose Canseco had a fly ball in Cleveland in 1993 bounce off his head and over the wall for a home run. He also once blew out his elbow while pitching in a game.
3. Bill Grammatica's wild celebration of a chip-shot field goal resulted in a knee injury that ended his season in 2001.
4. Dallas' Leon Lett started celebrating a touchdown in Super Bowl XXVII a little too early, allowing Buffalo's Don Beebe time to swat the ball out of his hand.
5. It was cute watching Darren Baker, son of Giants manager Dusty, scamper around during the 2002 World Series ... until little Darren almost got trampled at home plate while the ball was in play.
6. Redskins quarterback Gus Frerotte celebrated a touchdown against the Giants in 1997 by head-butting a cement wall, resulting in a sprained neck.
7. Stanford's Band annual showdown with rival Cal in 1982 was over, or so the Cardinal band thought, but Cal returned the final kick for a miraculous touchdown through the startled bandmembers, complete with a run-over of a trombone player.
8. White Sox player Steve Lyons gave fans an eyefull during a 1990 game when he dropped his pants in order to empty out some dirt after a slide.
9. Leon Lett, Part II: Lett gives Canseco a run for the title of 'King of In-Game Blunders'. Lett's other big miscue occurred on Thanksgiving 1993 when a seeming game-ending blocked field goal instead turned into a second chance for Miami when Lett slid into the ball, making it live. The Dolphins tried another kick and this time made it for the win.
10. Lindsey Jacobellis couldn't resist the urge to showboat near the end of snowboard cross event final at the 2004 Winter Olympics. She tried a trick move and almost fell down, allowing Tanja Frieden to pass her for the gold.
11. When Li Jiajun wiped out almost everyone, including American great Apolo Anton Ohno, in the 1,000-meter speedksating final at the 2002 Winter Games, it allowed Steven Bradbury, who had been in last place but was the only skater standing, to win the gold.
12. What is it with speedskaters and epic mistakes? The latest doozy happened in the Vancouver Games in February when Sven Kramer of the Netherlands thought he had set a 10,000-meter world record, only to be disqualified because his coach had told him to go into the wrong lane.
13. The Dolphins' perfect 1972 season was almost done in by kicker Garo Yepremian, whose futile attempt to throw the ball after a blocked field goal in Super Bowl VII was run back for a Redskins touchdown.
14. Even the great Babe Ruth could make a colossal blunder on the field. In 1926 he became the only player to ever end a World Series by being caught stealing.
